“24 and there’s so much more”

Yes, that’s part of the lyrics from one of my favorite songs Old Man by Neil Young. I thought it a fitting title for this commentary. Not because I’m an old man (I really am) but because of the inspiration this song for some reason gives me. Maybe because of my “Old Man”, who was my mentor, I think he’d be proud of what we’ve accomplished in ‘24…and there’s so much more!

This has been a year of unprecedented growth for TANGO, not only in the sheer number of Nonprofit Members and Socially Conscious Partners but also in the amount of collaboration we are seeing emerge in our community. I must say that in all the years since I started TANGO, I truly feel like we have hit a tipping point. As we roll into 2025 you will see continued focus on expanding not only our business resources but also our geographic footprint. We’ve launched the Capital Region of NY this year and now with the help of some fantastic people we’re heading into Long Island, NY, and New Jersey. We are also having discussions with interested parties about bringing TANGO hubs to DC, Georgia and Austin…all with the thought; the bigger we get the more we can do to help the sector! 

I would like to give a special shout out to the committed NFP professionals who have worked hard to bring TANGO to the Capital Region of NY this year; thank you Chris Greagan, Mike Hutcherson and Diane Jorgansen! I recently overheard Chris speaking to a nonprofit executive when he summarized what we’re all about in one simple statement:

TANGO helps nonprofit with COLLABORATION, EDUCATION and INNOVATION…any questions?

As we close the books on ‘24 I am very excited that there is so much more to come in 2025! Whether you are a long-time Member, Partner or new to TANGO, your involvement is crucial. Together, we can amplify our voices, share our stories, and drive meaningful change or as Chris would say, Collaborate, Educate and Innovate! Let’s harness the power of community, compassion and conscious capitalism to make 2025 a year of unprecedented growth and transformation.
