Hurry Up and Wait!

I am writing my monthly TANGO Trends commentary from a coffee shop in Brooklyn NY anxiously awaiting the arrival of my middle child’s 1st baby…she was due on 5/14 (the day of our TANGO Golf Tourney). Thanks for holding off Avery, we had a fantastic day on the links and raised over $24,000 for our Foundation!

It’s now 7 days later, she went into the hospital Monday evening at 5:00 and I’m writing this at 9:30 Wednesday morning…no baby yet, but from her text messages to us the doc says “today’s the day!”

Hurry up and wait! The anticipation of meeting the newest member to our family is killing me.

It’s moments in life like this where the world slows down from all that comes at us on a daily basis and provides time to reflect on what’s truly important.

With that thought in mind, I want to thank the TANGO community (members and partners) for all you do to make our world a better place. I created TANGO to corral support for the sector. We will hit 2000 nonprofit members any day now, a growing community for sure! So, thank you again for all you do to improve things for the next generation to come…whenever that may be!

I hope to see many of you at our annual Celebrate Nonprofits Night with the Hartford Yard Goats on June 12… by then I’ll know if we have a boy or a girl!
