TANGO's Fred Jenoure named Board Chair of Ascentria Care Alliance

TANGO is proud to announce that Frederick Jenoure, the Director of our Board Diversity Initiative, has been elected chairman of board of directors of Ascentria Care Alliance.

With 60 locations throughout New England, they are one of the largest community service organizations in the region. Ascentria’s mission is to empower people of all backgrounds to rise together and reach beyond life’s challenges. They use an innovative client-centered care model to help vulnerable individuals and families in transition move forward and thrive – physically, intellectually, socially, spiritually, and economically.

Fred will bring more than 40 years of experience in leadership positions with several prestigious institutions and community organizations to Ascentria’s board of directors. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for The Village for Families & Children and the YMCA of Central Massachusetts. He has also held similar senior positions in several other nonprofit organizations in Massachusetts and Connecticut, including Vice President of the Connecticut Council for the Advancement of Diversity and Secretary of the Board of Directors of the Urban League of Greater Hartford.

In addition to leading our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Initiative, Fred is a co-facilitator of our TANGO Nonprofit Academy. In this role, he prepares individuals for participation on nonprofit boards and recently trained multiple cohorts of mid & upper management personnel from Voya & Travelers.
