Services provided by The Bridge Family Center

Mental Health Counseling – We have counseling centers in Elmwood, Farmington and West Hartford to support children, families, and adults. Our therapy team includes a Psychiatrist. We offer medication management services and accept private insurance, as well as Medicare and Medicaid.

Residential Services – We offer a safe haven for teens and young adults throughout our region, many of whom have experienced significant trauma. A high percentage of the girls we care for are victims of Domestic Minor Sex Trafficking. We provide Specialized Trauma Informed Treatment Assessment Reunification youth shelters throughout Greater Hartford and beyond for children ages 11-18 (DCF referred) and Transitional and Independent Living programs for young adults ages 18-21.

Youth and Family Services – For over four decades, we have served West Hartford as its Youth Service Bureau. We offer school-based programs, emergency in-school counseling response, positive youth development programs, mentoring, parenting services, and the West Hartford Teen Center.

Family Resource Center – Our Family Resource Center is a vital source of support for young children and parents. We offer parent education, in-school support groups for children going through divorce or separation, reading readiness programs, developmental screenings, before- and after-school daycare for preschoolers, social skills groups, and early childhood intervention programs.

Mosaic Parenting Centers – Our Mosaic Parenting Centers provide an alternative to the traditional foster-care visitation program. The Centers are based on the visiting coach model in which staff work with parents to improve their parenting skills and develop positive attachment with their child.

Accomplishments:

In 2024, the Bridge served over 9,000 children, adults, and families.
In 2024, the Bridge opened a new counseling center in Farmington.
In 2024, the Bridge opened a second Mosaic Parenting Center in Cromwell.

How has TANGO impacted your Organization:

The Bridge Family Center is excited to continue to grow in its relationship with TANGO.  Previously, we have utilized several of TANGO’s training sessions and conferences, which have been a great resource for our Human Resources staff.

We recently partnered with NFP, an Aon Company, to provide brokerage services for our employee benefits, and we have been very happy.  We look forward to continuing to explore the additional services and resources that TANGO can offer the rest of the organization, including the DEI program resources, the partner connections, and additional services offered.
