In 2021, as part of a pilot initiated by 2 funders in Florida (The Miami Foundation and The Children’s Trust), Novus surveyed and interviewed leadership at 5 social services nonprofits to answer the following question: What are the common obstacles that are impeding nonprofits’ ability to leverage technology for strategic growth and sustainability?
In this session, we will summarize the 6 main commonalities discovered during the pilot and offer recommended steps that nonprofits can take to eliminate or at least reduce the negative impact of each of the following challenges:
- No cohesive strategy for technology, data and cybersecurity
- Data sprawl
- Poorly protected critical data
- Software tool rationalization
- Serving low-tech clients
- Funder reporting
This is a non-technical session that will include very little “tech-speak.” This webinar is geared towards nonprofit senior managers who know they can leverage technology and data better than they are currently, but lack the knowledge (and confidence) on how best to go about it.
