Handshakes and Hugs!

Earlier this month we had our TANGO Building Bridges Annual Conference. 175 people in the nonprofit sector registered to get together “in person” to share ideas on emerging topics important to us all. I must say that it was wonderful to shake hands and hug many people I haven’t seen in person in a long time. We’ve all been on many more Zoom meetings than we would have ever imagined over the last couple years. While we all agree that the virtual life we’ve been living is highly productive it’s not that same as being together live and in person. Thanks for coming out!!

I also want to thank our staff, partners and speakers, for being a part of our signature event of the year.

Our discussion topics spanned a variety of emerging topics from Strategies to Recruit and Retain Employees to Social Enterprises…Advancing your Mission and Fiscal Sustainability, Grant Seeking Trends and a panel discussion on DEI at your Nonprofit Organization. We have received a great deal of positive feedback from our attendees, a big thank you to all that participated.

We now turn about attention to finishing up 2022 with a bang. Please note that our “Woman Take the Lead Program” will have its inaugural meeting on November 30th. As I write this commentary we are almost at capacity, so if you are interested please act fast. Thanks to Amber Tucker from FML and Monica Guinn from NFP for spearheading this initiative.

I hope you all have a chance to spend time with your loved ones over Thanksgiving; it is one of my favorite holidays and I feel it’s only appropriate to give thanks to all of you who have made TANGO what it is today!
Best wishes,
Rollin

PS: This is who I’m looking forward to hanging out with over Thanksgiving; and who doesn’t love a baby picture!
