Generation Power CT (Formerly Operation Fuel)

Generation Power CT is a statewide nonprofit that provides emergency energy assistance and advocates for affordable utility access to help residents stay safe year-round.  Our mission is to lead the way so current and future generations can thrive with secure access to heat, power, and water.  Last fiscal year we provided over $2.8 million in emergency energy assistance to over 6,200 households, totaling over 14,000 individuals.

We recently rebranded as Generation Power CT, formerly known as Operation Fuel. Our new name reflects our growth beyond solely providing emergency support and captures our commitment to long-term energy equity, sustainability, and community empowerment. While emergency assistance will always be at the core of our services, our new name speaks to our role in shaping a future where all generations can thrive.

TANGO has made a real difference for our organization. Every session we’ve attended has given our team something meaningful, whether that’s a new idea, a helpful tool, or just the spark we need to keep moving forward. In person events are especially powerful, offering us space to learn, recharge, and connect with people who truly understand this work. We leave feeling seen, encouraged, and better equipped to support the communities we serve.
