This fast-paced emergency planning class will discuss the principles of emergency management planning with an emphasis for people with disabilities. Planning for everyone in your organization, and individuals that you provide services to, will make your organization more secure in the event of an emergency or disaster.

This class will incorporate specific actions you can take to plan for people with disabilities into your emergency plans. Additionally, for those organizations that need to create or update their emergency action plans we will review emergency planning templates available to everyone.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Understand specific considerations during a disaster for people with disabilities.
  • Learn about resources available to create or update emergency plans.
  • Review resources that are available specific to people with disabilities.
