Capitalism: History’s Gift to Philanthropy

I had the pleasure to present at the virtual annual meeting of the National Association of Nonprofits and Executives on April 21st on a topic near and dear to me and to TANGO: Capitalism as history’s gift to philanthropy.
In the presentation I explained the history and intellectual foundations of both philanthropy and capitalism – pointing out, for example, that philanthropy is the much older of the two – and the necessary connections between the two systems.
