3 Session Webninar Series for Senior Leadership and/or Management Positions:
DEI Leadership Readiness and Resilience requires openness and flexibility in the pursuit of long-term DEI work. These interactive and instructor-led sessions will focus on the future of DEI work and how leaders can sustain change over time.
Module One focuses on the DEI knowledge and skills individual need to sustain DEI work. Module Two focuses on the DEI knowledge and skills teams need to navigate short and long-term DEI organizational change. And Module Three focuses in DEI Organizational practice.
Through the 3 modules, we will focus on DEI histories and issues impacting progress and ways to leverage the current state of the organization’s strengths that minimize the weaknesses and design structural changes that leaders can adopt to make long-term change. Dr. LB Hannahs will engage participants through exercises that explore the stages of readiness for long-term DEI work by introducing a shared DEI language, facilitating activities around DEI topics, and prompting discussion around future DEI goals.
Session 1: Understanding the Self
Participants will explore common foundation and shared language for DEI work, as well as the individual knowledge and skills needed to deepen our understanding and commitment to advancing DEI work personally and professionally.
Session 2: Leading a Team and Stakeholders with Intention and Inclusion
Participants will Increase the comfort level of individuals and teams to discuss and problem-solve DEI issues through a focus on generative conflict and accountability. Participants will examine different ways to address bias and harm in their leadership styles and practice people-centered inclusive practices to harm reduce and conflict resolve.
Session 3: Navigating the past, present, and future of DEI work
Participants will, examine tangible steps needed to integrate DEI work into the operational structure of the organizational change, evaluate opportunities and threats for adopting DEI promising practices, and become prepared to stay attune to sociocultural conditions that impact the DEI-work landscape.
