Intellectual Capital:

As most of you know TANGO was created to help nonprofits thrive. In these challenging times the fuel that ignites the ability to thrive (grow) are innovative ideas. In other words; to truly thrive (grow) you need to think outside the box and do business differently. TANGO Nonprofit Week - Building Bridges Educational Sessions

One of TANGO’s stated goals is to “share our intellectual capital” with the sector. Our Partner Group is made up of selected experts in the nonprofit field. This collective brain trust will be spotlighted at our Annual Building Bridges Conference. Presentations have been created to help nonprofits in the areas of philanthropy and development, staff retention and recruitment, finance, legal, compliance and much more.

As much as we would like to get together with everyone in person we will once again be delivering this content virtually. Please join us October 5th and 6th for two days of innovative idea sharing…all paid for by our socially conscious business partners (yes, it’s free for our nonprofit TANGO Members). Here is a link to review our schedule of presentations and/or to register.

“The difficulty lies not so much in developing new ideas as in escaping from old ones.”– John Maynard Keynes

Thank you, I hope to virtually say hi to many of you in October.
Best Regards,
Rollin

Using a Core Evaluation Tool to Make your Case and Raise Money

The nonprofit sector is fiercely competitive in the best of times. This is not the best of times. As federal funding has been scythed down, and state funding is likewise dwindling, the volume of applications arriving in grant makers’ inboxes has soared. Standing out in this context is not easy.
But the evaluation profession offers a tool that can help grant seekers to make their case better: with clarity and power.

January 2026 – Founders Forum by Rollin Schuster

As we close out the year, I am proud to reflect on what has been a truly strong and meaningful year for TANGO. Together, we achieved important milestones that underscore both the relevance of our work and the strength of our growing community. In 2025, TANGO expanded its membership to more than 2,000 nonprofit organizations and extended our geographic footprint, connecting leaders across new regions who share a commitment to building stronger, more sustainable nonprofits.

Keeping Employees Safe During the Winter

Keeping Employees Safe During the Winter It's easy to blame winter injuries on cold weather, snow or ice. But blame won't take away the employee's pain, lost work time or workers' compensation costs associated with an injury/incident. Don't wait until the snow starts...
