TANGO Founder's Forum - September 2021
Managing Director, NFP
President & Founder, TANGO
As most of you know TANGO was created to help nonprofits thrive. In these challenging times the fuel that ignites the ability to thrive (grow) are innovative ideas. In other words; to truly thrive (grow) you need to think outside the box and do business differently.
One of TANGO’s stated goals is to “share our intellectual capital” with the sector. Our Partner Group is made up of selected experts in the nonprofit field. This collective brain trust will be spotlighted at our Annual Building Bridges Conference. Presentations have been created to help nonprofits in the areas of philanthropy and development, staff retention and recruitment, finance, legal, compliance and much more.
As much as we would like to get together with everyone in person we will once again be delivering this content virtually. Please join us October 5th and 6th for two days of innovative idea sharing…all paid for by our socially conscious business partners (yes, it’s free for our nonprofit TANGO Members). Here is a link to review our schedule of presentations and/or to register.
“The difficulty lies not so much in developing new ideas as in escaping from old ones.”– John Maynard Keynes
Thank you, I hope to virtually say hi to many of you in October.

More From TANGO
As many of you know we acquired the rights to show the Oscar nominated movie UnCharitable. It’s based on Dan Pollatta’s book and produced by acclaimed Hollywood Director Stephen Gyllenhaal.
Last Thursday evening was a cold and rainy, nasty night here in Hartford yet we filled the theatre at Trinity College with TANGO Members, all braving the weather to see the film UnCharitable.
Staffing has been especially challenging for nonprofit Health and Human Services (HHS) organizations in recent years. Staffing in this industry has always been particularly difficult due to limited budgets, high employee turnover rates, and the level of specialized skills and certifications required for these roles.
Happy Holidays! 2023 was quite a year for us here at TANGO. We experienced unprecedented growth in our membership and most importantly a lot of positive feedback from many of you…thank you! This feedback is taken to heart and inspires us to do more to support the sector.
