The Fog is Lifting. . .

May has ushered in a wave of nice weather here in New England and with it a renewed feeling of optimism. Last week I played in the first charity golf tournament in over a year, I have had a few face to face business meetings with more on the calendar, I was even invited to a nonprofit fundraiser; in person…the fog is lifting!

All of us at TANGO are thrilled to start our transition back to normalcy, albeit with a twist. Zoom meetings are here to stay which is great from an efficiency standpoint yet still lack the personal connection of a live face to face meeting. Moving forward this blend seems to be a perfect combination.  For now we will keep our educational sessions virtual but as we look to the fall I hope to begin to offer some educational/networking events live and in person.  My business suits and ties have been very lonely over the last year and are looking forward to breaking out!

Much of our upcoming educational events will focus will be on how to best manage your nonprofit in a post COVID world. The regulatory landscape has changed, recruitment and retention remain a challenge, efforts to engage with employees will be different and continued innovation has brought more resources to the workplace. So keep on the lookout for a steady stream of information from TANGO all created to help nonprofits thrive!

Thank you for being a part of our growing community!

Thanks,
Rollin

Using a Core Evaluation Tool to Make your Case and Raise Money

The nonprofit sector is fiercely competitive in the best of times. This is not the best of times. As federal funding has been scythed down, and state funding is likewise dwindling, the volume of applications arriving in grant makers’ inboxes has soared. Standing out in this context is not easy.
But the evaluation profession offers a tool that can help grant seekers to make their case better: with clarity and power.

January 2026 – Founders Forum by Rollin Schuster

As we close out the year, I am proud to reflect on what has been a truly strong and meaningful year for TANGO. Together, we achieved important milestones that underscore both the relevance of our work and the strength of our growing community. In 2025, TANGO expanded its membership to more than 2,000 nonprofit organizations and extended our geographic footprint, connecting leaders across new regions who share a commitment to building stronger, more sustainable nonprofits.

Keeping Employees Safe During the Winter

Keeping Employees Safe During the Winter It's easy to blame winter injuries on cold weather, snow or ice. But blame won't take away the employee's pain, lost work time or workers' compensation costs associated with an injury/incident. Don't wait until the snow starts...
