Southeastern Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, Inc. (SCADD)

The Southeastern Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, Inc. (SCADD) has been providing quality treatment services to men and women struggling with addiction since 1966. SCADD is able to provide a continuum of treatment services, licensed by the State of Connecticut, Department of Public Health. We are an agency that believes in second chances and the ability of people to find recovery. Our empathetic, compassionate staff are dedicated to supporting people with their recovery.

SCADD understands the path to recovery is not one-directional. For this reason, SCADD offers a variety of levels of care to support recovery continuity based on the appropriate intensity of intervention needed. No matter where folks are from or what their story is, we will work to help them find the best fit for their needs. 

Accomplishments in the Nonprofit Community:

As the Southeastern Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence enters its 56th year of service to communities in Southeastern Connecticut, our biggest accomplishment is that we are recognized as an agency of hope.

Hope continues to be the four letter word repeated over and over throughout our programs. Our team of treatment providers, advocates and recovery warriors bring judgement free acceptance and compassion to all those who seek our care.  They carry forward the mission of the agency and the message of hope in this world where life is lost to senseless actions and tragic overdose.

Throughout all of the adversity we faced in 2020 and 2021 we never lost hope and we never failed in our resolve to bring hope to each other and to our clients.
