Wadsworth Mansion at Long Hill Estate

The Wadsworth Mansion, a nineteenth century Beaux Art style mansion, is the quintessential country estate. Graced by expansive lawns and surrounded by 103 acres of wooded parklands the Mansion reflects an era of grandeur and elegance. Once a private residence, the Mansion is now owned by the city of Middletown and is used as an event space and community resource. The Mansion can accommodate two hundred guests for a seated dinner reception and larger numbers for cocktail parties. Only one event is scheduled each day and customers are treated to the exclusive use of the Mansion with multiple locations for meeting space, outdoor recreation, and dining.

Accomplishments in the Nonprofit Community:

• Provided space and event logistics for numerous local nonprofits and arts organizations to ensure their fundraising met their maximum potential including Middletown Pride, CT Ballet, United Way of Middlesex County, Everyone Outside, Middletown Rotary Club and The Rockfall Foundation
• Offered free public events to our local community to increase access to the outdoors and environmental programs on our 103 acres of walking trails and open space
• Offered free historical tours of The Wadsworth Mansion to provide a rich local history set in a site-specific context; offered virtual tours to schools and retirement communities to keep their students and residents engaged during the pandemic
• Hosted a free summer music series for the public with a group of diverse bands, food trucks and vendors
