CONCENTRATED HIGH-VALUE FIX-FEE ENGAGEMENTS FOR TANGO MEMBERS
TANGO has created a suite of specialized nonprofit consulting services for its nonprofit members.
The TANGO Above the Fold© service suite is based on the content of the TANGO Nonprofit Method (textbook and online lectures) written and prepared by TANGO’s Vice President of Education and Consulting, Jack Horak, Esq.
The “Above the Fold” services suite offers no-nonsense, content rich, precisely targeted, and very frank business advice to TANGO member nonprofits.
As Jack puts it: Late in my 36 year legal career it occurred to me that I brought the most value to clients when acting as a senior business advisor, mentor, and problem solver – as opposed to providing legal services – which I delegated to junior lawyers. The “Above the Fold” concept represents my effort to “skim off” the high value senior advisor, mentor, and problem solver functions and make them available to TANGO nonprofit members on a fixed fee basis.
The engagements will be on a fixed fee basis to avoid concerns about hourly consulting fees accruing unexpectedly. To make this possible each assignment will be precisely tailored at the beginning to identify information we will need, to define the task or tasks clearly, and to impose a clear starting point and ending point for each engagement.
The specific services included in our suite are the following:
- Nonprofit Mergers and Acquisitions
- Board of Director Guidance and Mentoring
- Subject Matter Tutorials based on the TANGO Nonprofit Method
If you are interested in discussing this product please send an email to Jack Horak or Rob Bloomstone and we will get back to you promptly.

Bad Data Is More Costly Than Organizations Realize
Many nonprofits struggle to keep their most important databases free of “bad data.” Bad data includes inaccuracies, outdated information, duplicates, inconsistent formatting, typos, and other errors.
Demonstrating relevance: a top priority for Nonprofits in 2023
Not-for-profit organizations (NFPs) are vital to improving the most imminent environmental and societal issues we face today. In an increasingly crowded and competitive fundraising environment, demonstrating relevance has become a high priority for many NFPs.

Partners Perspective – The Connection 2023
The understanding of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion within the workplace has evolved significantly over the past sixty years or so. As a nation, we have seen continuous efforts to challenge and transform our systems, policies, and practices that perpetuate inequities based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, and other dimensions and intersections of diversity.

The more things change the more they stay the same…
As many of you know, when I’m not wearing my President of TANGO “hat” I’m busy in my real job as Managing Director of NFP. That so called “hat” gets exchanged many times throughout the day back and forth between the two organizations. As time goes on these roles become more aligned simply because NFP is wholeheartedly committed to supporting TANGO and the nonprofit sector…a great example of a true socially conscious business.
